Snow in Texas makes kids unbelievably happy and also…surprisingly cooperative. However, I’m not the super-cool mom who will go out and play in the snow for hours with my kids. I was excited to have the kids home and thought the snow was beautiful, but I just don’t like being cold. So after my kids and their friends headed out to play, I forced myself to get the camera out and walked out on the (covered) deck long enough to insist that they all give me just few smiles to document our record-breaking snowfall. It was my shortest “shoot” in the history of my shooting. I was outside with them almost exactly four minutes!
Snow
- omgness I love that last shot!! and look at baby A getting so big and cheesing!!
- LOVED all the pics!! but I especially love the pics with Jacob and Joseph together! Priceless!! what sweet kids you have! Thanks for sharing! Love you! Suzanne PS we have had 20 plus inches in the last couple of weeks and it's still on the ground! BRRRR!!
Win & Blakely
When you’re as cute as these two, you can pretty much do whatever you want…even if that means run free in Stanley Korshak for the morning. Actually, they were both extremely well behaved. Win and Blakely let me follow them around and document their time playing with jewelry, trying on jackets and ties, wearing makeup and even slipping into some fancy shoes (although Win seemed to be bored by the shoe part!). Everyone in the store just loved these sweet twins. Can you blame them?
- omg. The elevator shot is perfection, its all about how toddlers are. LOVE this set!
- Win and Blakely are sooo cute! growing up to fast, enjoyed looking at pictures.
- OMG they are so beautiful
The next Gerber Baby?
The more I looked at sweet Catherine’s face, the more I was convinced she could be the next Gerber Baby! Not only was she completely gorgeous, she was extremely happy and fun to work with. I think this first one is my absolute favorite from the session:
This is Catherine’s Mimi. She is possibly the most smitten Mimi I’ve ever met! It was so fun watching her with her first grandbaby.
The last image I took during the session…she was trying so hard to appease us–I love her expression here:
- Oh my goodness, what a cutie. I love every shot! Beautiful work as always girl!
- WOW she looks like she had great fun ♥ a model in the making ;)
- Oh. kristy. i love that first shot too!! gorgeous PPing!!
Happy Birth-day Caden
Hello baby Caden!
We’re always looking for opportunities to make images of special moments of life for our clients and friends. So when I heard that Jessica + Nick were having their first baby, I proposed to photograph the birth from beginning (6 am) to end (near 3 pm). It’s truly one of life’s greatest miracles and I was very fortunate to be able to make these images for them.
Baby Caden arrived on Monday January 18, 2010.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Las Colinas Medical Center for making me feel welcomed and being so natural in front of the camera
If you don’t remember who they are, here’s the slideshow of Jessica + Nick’s wedding at Rough Creek Lodge in 2007: click
Here are some of our faves from the day. If you’d like to see more, please visit our Facebook page : click here.

- she's so cute, kristy, i can't stand it!
- Man, she is cute. You are an amazing photographer. I can't wait for you to do some stuff for me!
Hats
I love photographing babies in hats. I’m not even sure why, I just know that it adds a few levels of cuteness to the picture. Of course this little guy’s amazing blue eyes and killer smile don’t hurt either!
- Adorable! Love the bw!!
- Gorgeous! I agree babies in hats are awesome to photograph!
Neither wind, nor rain, nor…
- Love that 85 1.2!
A Black Tie Affair
Okay, maybe not so much of an “affair” as it was a photo shoot. However, this amazingly stylish family was in black tie attire. The owners of Solare Spa and The Frisco Bar–they are extremely busy people but that didn’t stop them from squeezing in a little (cold) family time this morning!

Thanks so much Best family. It’s always fun working with you!
Her first Christmas
This sweet baby girl is already two months old but she’s a gorgeous, petite little thing. Thank you, Rob and Sarah, for allowing me to document this special time before her first Christmas. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

- What a great opportunity Kristy, I'm so happy for you. F8 did my coworker's wedding. BTW, these photos rock.
- these are perfectly beautiful! what a special christmas this will be for this family. I love these!
Fun in the sun
Actually, it was a very cold morning (especially for Texas!). But we still managed to have some fun and capture some smiles. Thanks Amy, Chris & kids for braving the cold!

- Joe...Nicky, Matthew, Enrique and "Miss Trish" are sooo happy you are feeling better...Love Ya!!!!
